Japan -- When a 15-year-old boy skipped judo practice, the boy's teacher was furious and stood waiting for him at the gates of his junior high school in Yokohama, according to the boy's parents.
The teacher, a former All Japan judo champion then reportedly forced the boy into the gym and made him grapple one on one. The judo teacher allegedly then choked the boy until he lost consciousness.
When the boy came to, the teacher once again choked the boy until he went limp. The teenager was thrown to the floor with such force that he suffered a severe brain injury - acute subdural hematoma.

Dies of Judo Injury
Japan -- A 12-year-old boy died in hospital on July 6 from a brain contusion which apparently was sustained during judo practice, according to mdn.mainichi.jp.
On June 27, the junior high school student from Kannami reportedly collapsed while taking part in practice at his judo club. Official said the boy is believed to have been struck in the head.

Martial Arts Fighter Died
South Carolina -- A 30-year-old MMA fighter from Gaston died from injuries sustained in a fight in Aiken Saturday, according to chronicle.augusta.com.
The man was pronounced dead at 8:25 a.m. at a medical center as a result of a brain hemorrhage, a coroner said.
The fight, held at an MMA event at the University of South Carolina Aiken's Convocation Center, was reportedly the man's first professional match.

Student dies
Vietnam -- A 15-year-old male student died after falling unconscious and slipping into a comma after winning the title of a district-level martial arts student championship held last Sunday in Ho Chi Minh City.
After winning the 57kg final bout, Ho Cong Nhat Thanh, left the ring, took off his head gear and protective wear and sat in a corner to rest, witnesses said. He suddenly slumped down, unconscious as those around him looked on with concern.
He was immediately rushed for first aid and brought to local hospital where he slipped into a coma. Diagnosis from doctors revealed he had suffered a brain hemorrhage.
He passed away at 2am the following morning.

'Shaken baby syndrome'
On Thursday, Grantville investigators arrested a Coweta County martial arts instructor for allegedly shaking a 16-month-old baby unconscious, causing permanent brain damage.
The man states on his Web site that he is an instructor of a form of martial arts he created called "Bealach de Cath," or "Way of Battle."

Bad bouncer boy
Having worked as a bouncer/doorman, I can attest to the fact that most situations can and should be handled without the use of physical violence.
Judging from what is evident here - this looks as one of them. Kicking a heavily-intoxicated person in the head...?

A Brisbane (Australia) bouncer jailed for seven years after being found guilty of delivering a death kick to a patron has had his conviction quashed and a retrial ordered on appeal.
The court heard that on June 14, 2003, at the hotel in Brisbane's east, Mr Hutchings delivered a swift kick to the head of a heavily-intoxicated Mr Coddington, causing him to die of a brain haemorrhage.
The court was also told Mr Coddington said "I f***ed your Mum" to Mr Hutchings as the bouncer evicted him from the hotel because of his drunkenness.
Mr Hutchings allegedly responded by delivering a backwards turning martial-arts style kick to the side of Mr Coddington's head.
