Crazy Boxing Match

Seriously, this has movie scene to be one of the most hilarious boxing matches ever recorded. I almost died when I fist saw it.

It's by non other than "rubber face" Jerry Lewis and it's from the film Sailor Beware. You absolutely need to see the whole scene if you like some classic slap stick humor :-)

Anger in Aikido

Anger in aikido? Image from Wikipedia.org
What are we suggesting here ... anger in aikido? The art of peace, harmony and humanity? Noooh, say it ain't so!

What would O-Sensei say if this was even remotely true?

These nice folks in hakama are supposed to be the very embodiment of cool and tranquility - no room for primal anger or aggression here mate!

We'll it appears that at least one aikidoka takes it very personal that someone dare claim that his hero, non other than movie star Steven Seagal, has been choked out by a "simple" judoka, an old school hard man in the form of Judo Gene LeBell.

True or untrue - keep smiling, and read more about it here.

MMA Zombie Film

A zombie film/movie with mixed martial arts action..? Apparently that's what you get with 'Zombie Apocalypse'. Not at all sure if I'm ready for an MMA zombie film.

Just a bit curious whether it's zombies turning fighters or fighters turning zombies. It may be argued that some fighters are close to that state already...

Kung Food Fight

Food fight - Illustration from Flickr.com
Don't like the way your restaurant customers treat you? Tired of getting bad reviews? Unhappy with constant complaints about your dim sum not being hot enough ... or too hot ... or too late?

If so, then it may be time to do sum' dim mak and bring your kung food fighting skills to the table.

At least - according to asiaone.com that's apparently what this chef from Malacca in Malaysia did to one of his customers.
Using kung fu moves with a pair of chopsticks and a wooden chair, a chef here floored a customer at his restaurant two years ago.Yesterday, a Sessions Court sentenced Abdul Rahman Teoh Abdullah, 47, to five years in jail for injuring P.M. Balakrishnan, 57.The offence was committed at a restaurant in Jalan Melaka Raya 11 in Taman Melaka Raya here at about 4am on Jan 1, 2010.
Kung fu moves, chopsticks and a wooden chair? Wow, that sounds like something right out of a Jackie Chan movie script.
Where's the people with a cell phone video recording when you need them?

Numbnuts and Sword

Ohio -- "It looked like a violent and graphic scene in a karate movie." This was the description given by witnesses to a recent fight in Toledo, according to wtol.com.

A fight between two men at an apartments building allegedly escalated and ended with one person being stabbed several times and seriously injured by a sword.

According to witnesses, the two men were fighting when one of the men ran into an apartment to get his older brother. The brother then came out with nunchucks (aka. numbnuts or dumbchucks) and went after another person in the crowd.

Apparently the numbnuts wasn't the right tool for the encounter. Witnesses said the man then ran back inside and came out with a sword.

It's martial arts 101 really: The krotty sticks/dumbchucks is purely designed for those who are fond of self harm. The real thing -- called nunchaku -- may only be handled by those who actually knows what they're doing.

And man ... numbnuts as well as a sword? This "brother in arms" must definitely be a martial arts enthusiast.

Stolen Kung Fu Panda Idea?

California -- An American tai chi master has reportedly accused the movie company DreamWorks Animation of stealing one of its most lucrative characters - the Kung Fu Panda.

The man describes himself as ... are you ready for this ... a writer-producer-teacher-philosopher, according to abcnews.go.com. He also says ... are you even ready for this ... "he pioneered the practice of tai chi, kung fu and qigong in modern medicine." No sh** Shirley...

The man is reportedly claiming in a lawsuit that he originated the idea for a movie about a "spiritual kung-fu fighting panda bear" and that he contacted the company in November 2001 and had meetings with them before they, months later, decided to make "Kung Fu Panda" without involving him.

He "Didn't Mean It"

UK -- An illegal immigrant -- originally from Iran -- told his murder trial how he "lost his temper" and "became mad" at a woman in Foleshill on September 3, 2008.

The man's ex-partner died after being stabbed 14 times during the attack at her Coventry home. The 29-year-old man admitted to killing the 34-year-old woman in front of her 7-year-old daughter, but he claimed he was provoked, according to coventrytelegraph.net .

The, who is nicknamed Jackie due to his resemblance to (martial arts movie star) Jackie Chan and because he holds a black belt in karate, told the jury he "never" meant to kill his ex-partner.
