Angry XXL Martial Arts Expert

Each time you might be lead to think it could possibly be any more alive and breathing martial arts nitwits out there, a new one pops up for us all to shake our heads at.

Case in point; this rather angry XXL martial arts expert from the UK appears to be quite something else. Threatening workers at his apartment when they apparently was unsettling his pet snake and offended his Buddha statue is just a small fraction of his antics.

Guess it's not that hard to run away from the "rather solid" man. Wouldn't fancy him getting hold of me though...

MMA Fights at Home

Fighting - Illustration from Flickr.com
It appears that some folks have decided to take things a step further (and way too far) by staging MMA fights at home.

Yup, there are apparently combat arts fans who perhaps sees mixed martial arts fights as a great way to get some action right there in their living room.

Here's an excerpt of what marconews.com reports about privately held MMA matches in Florida.

MMA fights at home

A Lee County family is accused of hosting unlicensed fights.Lee County Sheriff's deputies arrested Angela Harrison, 36, Brandon Harrison, 27, and Gauge Ford, 17, for staging Mixed Martial Arts style fights on the 1400 block of Hightower Avenue South in Lehigh Acres.Lee County detectives were able to confirm allegations of illegal fights by finding Facebook videos capturing juveniles and young adults engaging in full contact fighting. Detectives with the help of a school resource officer at East Lee County High School were able to identify some of the people in the videos.
Perhaps the family thought this would be a good way to make a few extra bucks. In any case, not the smartest martial arts move to pull off.

Investigated by Child Protective Service

Indiana -- MTV is running a reality television series about teenage mothers called "Teen Mom". In a recent episode, one of the "stars" lost her temper during a fight with her ex fiancĂ©, according to celebs.gather.com.

This is reportedly not the first time the MMA trained woman has been seen on TV hitting her daughter's father. The two young parents can allegedly be seen almost every week fighting and cursing in front of their baby daughter on the TV show.

As a result, police and Child Protective Services in the woman's hometown are investigating her for domestic abuse.

Domestic Violence Charges

California -- A 25-year-old MMA fighter, described as up-and-coming, is facing charges after his former girlfriend reported that he kicked in her door, beat her and destroyed her cell phone so she couldn't call authorities, police said.

The San Lorenzo resident and UFC welterweight fighter, told investigators he went to his ex-girlfriend's house Saturday to see his dogs that were staying there, when she struck him first. He said he then acted in self-defense, according to mercurynews.com.

The woman told police he went to her house in Hayward about 10:50 p.m. and banged on the door. She said she didn't want to speak to him.

When he then proceeded to force the door open, it struck her in the head, according to the police report. The man then pushed her around, picked her up by her armpits and slammed her to the ground, she told police. He then put her in a headlock and dragged her up a flight of stairs, according to the report.

Martial Arts Dad Sued

UK -- A brother and sister team, 27 and 30 years old, sued their own ex-Navy officer and "martial arts expert" dad after he was convicted of killing his 55-year-old wife in 2004.

The siblings want nothing to do with their evil father and it is said they have taken legal steps to avoid any further contact.

It was skull fragments found in the washing machine at their family home which eventually proved the man was a wife killer, according to sundaymail.co.uk in November.

The murderer evidently emptied his bank accounts while he was out on bail during an appeal against his jail sentence.

TKD Teen Helps Her Dad

California -- When a group of armed men entered a house through an unlocked door and robbed a Rolando (San Diego) family at 2:20 a.m., a teenaged daughter fought the suspects, giving her father a chance to escape and call police.

At least three suspects entered the house, demanding money and jewelery. They tied the father's hands up and ordered him to lie down on the ground.

One of the men went to the 18-year-old daughter's room to search for more valuables. However, the daughter, who is a black belt in taekwondo, started fighting with the suspects.

While his daughter was fighting back, the father managed to break free and ran outside. He used a neighbors phone to call 911. None of the victims required any serious medical attention, according to nbcsandiego.com.

A Student of Karate

New Jersey -- A 17-year-old girl was sleeping insider her bedroom in Glen Rock on Monday, when a suspect entered her home and assaulted her, police said. The intruder reportedly came into the home through an unlocked door, according to wcbstv.com.

The perpetrator then walked up the stairs to her room and crawled into the girl's bed. A police source said she woke up to the man's hands inside her pajamas.

Being a student of karate, she knew how to defend herself. She reportedly fought back as the attacker began to force a sock into her mouth.

Police explained how the girl punched the intruder, clawed him and pulled his hair. The struggle ended up on the floor before the man ran down the stairs and out of the house.

Police feel confident they'll find the perpetrator who seemed to be very familiar with the girl's home.

The Ninja Hunt

New York -- The Staten Island "ninja burglar", who is now thought to have robbed eighteen homes on the island in the past seven months, acquired his honorific in September, when he encountered a Dongan Hills resident named Phil Chiolo while raiding Chiolo's home.

He was dressed all in black, with a black face mask, Chiolo said, and he carried nun-chucks, which he used to club Chiolo in the chest, head, and shins before Chiolo was able to retaliate by stabbing at him with a steak knife.

Chiolo, who suffered a welt near his collarbone, said the other day that he is fine, but Staten Island has since gone ninja mad, with the burglar enjoying a kind of romantic outlaw notoriety. Other victims have likened him to a gazelle or a cat ("very athletic, very quiet, and very fast"), capable of scaling walls and leaping noiselessly out windows. (No one has heard him speak.)
