Charlie the Chimp

Actors don't have to be human to work for a good cause. Take Charlie the Karate Chimp.

Charlie has a cameo appearance in a new Nicolas Cage movie opening today, and the money he makes will go toward a sanctuary for abused and homeless primates.

The famous Niagara Falls chimpanzee, who has appeared on television, came out of retirement to be in the movie "Ghost Rider," starring Cage, Peter Fonda and Eva Mendes.

Charlie's paycheck will go toward a rural refuge for Charlie and two dozen fellow primates now holed up inside a building in the inner city.
