A takeaway delivery driver ended up in court after he was caught with a dangerous martial arts weapon alongside the Chinese meals he was transporting.
Cops who pulled over 25-year-old Grant Morris as he was delivering meals got a surprise when they discovered he was packing a pair of nunchucks.
Morris told the officers he was carrying the weapon – which consists of two sticks connected at their ends with a short metal chain – for his self-defence.
Morris, who lists martial arts as one of his hobbies, was charged with possessing an offensive weapon after he told the police he had the nunchucks for his own protection.
