Negative Positive Tests

According to the California State Athletic Commission, a MMA fighter has tested positive for Boldenone Metabolite and Stanozolol Metabolite. The fighter in question is Phil Baroni, who was choked out by Frank Shamrock in the main event of the Strike Force/Elite XC pay-per-view on June 22.

The event took place in San Jose, and Baroni was not the only fighter on the card to fail a drug test, as Carter Williams tested positive for cocaine.

These suspensions come on the heels of MMA legend Royce Gracie's suspension. The Brazilian tested positive for the steroid Nandrolone. He reportedly had 25 times the normal limit of Nandrolone in his body.
