Man Choking Juveniles

Indiana -- In Jeffersonville, a 6'5" inches and 297 pound 43-year-old man has been charged with felony battery for allegedly grabbing a juvenile boy by the neck and threatening to kill him, according to newsandtribune.com.

The man, who claimed he "knew martial arts" had chased a group of kids and assaulted one of them after the boys allegedly had been antagonizing and throwing rocks on his son.

When one of the kids took a swing at him, the man allegedly grabbed him by the neck and "foot-swept him," making the juvenile fall on the ground.

A Judo Move

UK -- A drunk driver was wrestled to the ground and arrested - by a judoloving 12-year-old.

Peter Clatworthy held the 19-year-old driver for 10 minutes until cops arrived after he smashed into three cars and tried to stagger away from his van. Two drivers suffered whiplash injuries.

The Nottingham pupil said: "He swung a punch but I dodged and swept his legs from under him using a judo move."

Got off easy

A bumbling burglar who smashed in a storefront window in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, at 3 a.m. somehow failed to notice the Champion Fight Club next door.

Club owner Dave Lochert, who heard the sound of breaking glass, took it from there, chasing the man down and punching him twice in the gut to make him drop his hammer.

When the man tried to run for it, Lochert told the Saskatoon StarPhoenix, "I put him in a hold, swept his feet out from underneath him and dropped him to the ground."

The guy was lucky that's all he got. Lochert is trained in judo, taekwondo, white crane kung fu, ninjutsu, Muay Thai, boxing and kickboxing.

The movement looks simultaneously asthetically pleasing and dangerous. Participants of the club, or capoeristas, throw spinning kicks, jump into no-handed cartwheels and sweep their feet from side to side, shifting their weight as they pulse in and out of low stances.
