China -- A hacker has been able to break through the defenses of the legendary kung fu Shaolin Temple, according to shanghaidaily.com.
The intruder was reportedly able to post a fake letter from its abbot saying he was "deeply sorry for exploiting the Buddhist heritage in the hustling commercial world."
The fake letter, written under the name of abbot Shi Yongxin, appeared on the news section of the site at around 3 a.m. on Wednesday along with a picture of the abbot meditating.
The letter told how Shi was ashamed because the ancient temple had "lost itself and tilted from its proper position in the world." It also said Shi accepted guilt for the temple's fall.
