Story:
UK -- A man has appeared in court for allegedly brandishing an 'exotic kung-fu weapon' (sic.) during a neighbourhood bust-up. The man was on his way to a contact's house in Barrow, to sell his ornamental rice flails — a martial arts weapon also known as a nunchaku.
The court heard the 22-year-old Barrow man became embroiled in a row in the street and was accused of threatening the disputants with the rice flails he was carrying.
The accused denied the allegation but admitted being in possession of the offensive weapon. He also pleaded guilty to using words or behavior which caused harassment, alarm or distress.
