Case Will Go to Trial

Virginia -- A karate instructor who is accused of kicking an 11-year-old student more than 200 times is facing new charges, according to wavy.com.

A grand jury has allegedly found enough evidence to indict the female instructor on one felony count of Child Neglect and Abuse and one misdemeanor count of Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor.

She was initially charged with Child Endangerment in November, after police say she kicked the boy more than 200 times in his stomach and ribs. It happened at a Suffolk karate studio.

The woman was in court for a preliminary hearing on February 5. Several of her students showed up to defend her and show their support. Still, the judge ruled that the case would go to trial.
