Georgia -- According to times-herald.com, a former Newnan police officer will be spending the next 60 years in prison after being sentenced on 13 counts involving his contact with an underage female - a student at a local martial arts school where the man instructed Saturday classes while also being a student there himself.
An internal investigation into the off-duty activities of the man was opened in July 2009, centered around the officer's alleged inappropriate contact with the juvenile by use of a cell phone issued to him by authorities.
