Norway -- December 1, 2004, a 39-year-old Oslo man - reportedly attending a seminar in Fredrikstad - picked the wrong home to break into.
The homeowner, a lawyer by the name of Lasse Kopperud, had practised karate for 20 years. In addition to that he was armed with a machine-gun when he confronted the intruder.
After having subdued the intruder, opting not to wait for police or having to struggle with the man inside his car, Kopperud dragged the man on foot to the police station.
Passing motorists alerted police about the strange duo arguing. When police arrived, they were briefly explained the situation and handed the intruder without further ado.
