Norway -- On June 22, vg.no reported about a 13-year-old who used her taekwondo skills to save her 10-year-old friend from a man.
Without prior warning, the masked man -- all clad in black -- allegedly attacked the 10-year-old girl at Haanes in Kristiansand. The attacker suddenly appeared as the two girls were walking on a footpath Wednesday afternoon.
"He came up from behind and kicked her on the legs," the teenager said. She tried to punch the man, but missed and hit a tree instead. A second punch hit the man in the abdomen.
"He kicked my friend in the leg one more time and then he took off. We then walked to a nearby road," the older girl said.
However, the man accosted the girls again. He reportedly attacked the 10-year-old with a strangle hold, attempting to drag her along to nearby woods.
"I hit him twice to his arm, scraming to let my friend go. He seemed confused, and finally ran off," the brave girl said.
The 13-year-old has been training taekwondo for two years. "My arms have become quite strong from the training, and I hit him pretty hard," the girl said.
