Japan -- A 24-year-old former regional taekwondo champion has been indicted for attempted rape and breaking and entering, according to mdn.mainichi.jp.
The man will reportedly be charged with two attempted rapes in Iruma in 2006 and 2008. These charges come on top of six other crimes he allegedly committed between 2000 and 2009.
"(...) was expelled following his first arrest. These acts greatly shamed taekwondo, and as a coach I also feel responsible," TKD Secretary-General Hiroshi Kanai, said.
